The new Passat.

The impressive Volkswagen Design Centre in Potsdam served as the ideal setting for the world premiere of a world-wide best-seller: the new Passat. The most successful European business car makes its debut with new engines, less weight and not least with the latest assistance, Infotainment and convenience systems. The car melts away class boundaries.

Kicking goals.

Rome recently played host to the 2014 Volkswagen Junior World Masters. Representing Australia at the soccer tournament were Queensland’s Buderim Wanderers. Despite a great effort Australia didn’t make the finals on the day but the team represented our country proudly and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Swans Winning Streak.

Volkswagen Australia Major Partner, the Sydney Swans have enjoyed a spectacular run of form this season. The team was undefeated throughout May and June, recording victories against local rivals Greater Western Sydney and competition heavyweights including 2013 Premiers Hawthorn, Geelong and Port Adelaide. The winning streak puts the club in a strong position heading into September, where the Swans will be looking for a repeat of their 2012 Premiership success.

The number of entries the Golf Wagon beat to win the 2014 iF Gold Award, a globally recognised product design award that honours outstanding design achievement. The Golf Wagon received the gong from a jury of 49 design experts.

First Stop, Full Throttle!

June saw the Volkswagen Driving Experience geared for a great start at Lakeside Park in sunny Queensland. Featuring the Golf Performance range participants were encouraged to put their skills, and the vehicles, through their paces. Tackling a range of on-track challenges, including the ever popular wet weather skid pan, the day closed with a series of exhilarating circuit laps.
